Where can the grafix and decals be installed?
These vinyl graphic products can be installed on any smooth and dirt free surface. This includes glass, plexiglass, painted surfaces, fiberglass, some plastics, etc.
Can I install the grafix myself?
Yes, most of our products, with the exception of large graphics are easy enough for a novice to install. See the DIY Application how to to the right. of this page. If you feel you are unable to install yourself please contact us for an installation quote.
Will grafix harm the painted surfaces of my car?
The vinyl will not harm any of these surfaces. This is the same material that is used for truck lettering, & commercial signage. The decal actually protects the finish of the vehicle’s paint or glass surface. If stripes or decals are left on the vehicle for long periods of time (more than 5 years outdoor exposure), the paint on the vehicle will fade slightly, while the paint under the decal does not. This will cause a shadow effect once the decal is removed. Avoid this by maintaining the paint on your vehicle with wax!
What are the decals and grafix made of?
All our vinyl graphic products are made from high quality self adhesive vinyl material (the same type used for OEM Original Equipment Manufacturers). These materials are first quality and have excellent workability and removal properties.
Will the grafix last a long time?
Yes, your decals should last a long time. The average life expectancy for our high quality self adhesive decals is between 5-7 years. Specialty films such as chrome mirror, gold leaf, etc have a limited expectancy of 2 years.
How do I remove the few air bubbles after installation?
Once you apply your new decal(s), you might find that you have small air bubbles between the decal and the vehicle surface. Most smaller bubbles will disappear within a few weeks, larger bubbles can be removed by using a pin or sharp razor blade. Simply put a small slit in the bubble, then work out the air with your fingers.
How can I keep my new grafix looking good?
Keeping the decals looking good is simple. Wash them with the car, do not use any harsh chemicals or solvents on them. Wax over the decals when possible. Your decal will not be damaged by normal use of car wash products, or water. Although the decals will withstand pressure washers and car washes, these will reduce the life and appearance of your decal. The decals will not last forever, but will give you many years of enjoyment if well taken care of.
How do I remove the grafix?
Vinyl graphics and decals can be easily removed. Then using your fingernail, lift the edge of the decal and work across the surface of the decal (you may want to heat the decal slightly for easier removal). Once the vinyl is removed, use goo-gone or thinners to remove any glue residue.
Upon receipt of my order, I noticed that there’s slight defect, what should I do?
We allow exchange of defective decals only. Strictly NO EXCHANGE for colours/designs. We must be notified of the defect within 3 days after transaction.

Prior to applying your vinyl decals, we advise that you read the instructions below. The application of your decal requires a certain degree of dexterity, patience and concentration.
There are two recommended methods for installing the decals: The dry method and the wet method. The dry method is relatively easy and is suitable for smaller decals. The wet method should be used for larger decals such as windshield decals or other large graphics. As the wet method may be too challenging for some.
The Decal
The decals will come to you in three layers. The top layer is called the Transfer Tape. The middle layer is the actual Decal. The bottom layer is a Backing Paper.
Preparing the surface
The surface must be clean, and free of all oils and dirt. For newly-waxed surface, it would be good to remove the wax for better adhesiveness.
The “DRY” method
You will need a needle and a squeegee (a credit card may be used). Measuring tape and masking tape are recommended for larger decals.
For small decals:
Step 1: Clean the surface thoroughly and remove wax, if necessary.
Step 2: Place graphic on desired surface (with Backing Paper nearer to the surface), align properly and tape to the surface with masking tape across the top, creating a hinge.
Step 3: Flip graphic up and pull paper backing off, exposing adhesive.
Step 4: Hold graphic tautly by the corners and flip back down so that adhesive is against surface.
Step 5: With firm pressure (use squeegee), rub graphic area from center out to edges forcing all air out. Any air bubbles will disappear.
Step 6: Remove clear transfer tape by pulling straight back, leaving the graphic on the surface.
For windshield decals:
Step 1: Clean the windscreen surface thoroughly and remove RAIN-X, if necessary.
Step 2: Place graphic, align properly and tape to the windshield with masking tape at the mid-point and both sides of the strip.
Step 3: Starting from one side (e.g. left), lift the graphic up and peel paper backing off, exposing the adhesive. Stop peeling once you have reached the mid-point of the strip and tear off the paper backing just before the masking tape.
Step 4: Hold graphic tautly by the corners and flip back down so that adhesive is against surface.
Step 5: With firm pressure (use squeegee), rub graphic area from center out to edges forcing all air out. Any air bubbles will disappear.
Step 6: Remove the masking tape at the mid-point. Repeat step 3 to 5 from the other side of the strip.
Step 7: Remove clear transfer tape by pulling straight back, leaving the graphic on the surface.
The “WET” method
You will need a needle, razor, a squeegee (a credit card may be used), measuring tape, masking tape and a spray bottle of wetting agent (formed by mixing a few drops of dishwashing liquid in a litre of water).
Step 1: Clean the surface thoroughly and remove wax, if necessary.
Step 2: Flip over the decal with Backing Paper on top. Remove the Backing Paper, exposing the adhesive of decal.
Step 3: Use a spray bottle to wet the area where the decal is to be applied and on the adhesive of the decal.
Step 4: Place the decal, still attached to the transfer tape, to the thoroughly wetted surface. The decal can then be gently moved and repositioned correctly. (The decal will slide on the thin film of solution trapped between the vinyl decal and the surface.)
Step 5: When the decal is in the final location, use a small squeegee or card to squeeze the water and detergent solution out from under the decal, removing any bubbles at the same time.
Step 6: Wait for about 10 mins. Remove clear transfer tape by pulling straight back, leaving the decal on the surface.
NOTE: If there are bubbles present under the decal, use a small pin or needle to puncture the decal at the bubble to remove the air. A small pin hole will not be seen after the air bubble has been worked out with the fingers. |
